(NewsDakota.com) On a cold and windy Tuesday, the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team was unable to earn a victory in their two games against the Kindred/Richland Vikings.

The Vikings improved to 5-1 in Class B Region I after defeating the Loboes 13-1 in four and a half innings, and 12-6 in a full seven inning game. Kindred managed 25 hits in the two games, to LLM’s five. Hayden Aberle took the loss in game one, and also had to leave the game after getting hit in the nose by a pitch in the fourth inning. The Loboes one hit in game one came from Parker Stemen.

In game two, Drew Theilges was on the short end of the stick, despite going all seven innings and striking out eight. Stemen was three of four in the second game from the plate with three hits and two runs scored.

LLM (0-5 Class B Region I) will host Oakes on Thursday. Oakes defeated the Loboes 13-1 in four and a half innings to start Region I play for both teams on March 31. Coverage can be heard on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM, Q101.1FM and NewsDakota.com starting at 4:45 p.m.
