N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Emergency Managers in surrounding counties are urging residents to take in a free severe summer weather course this year that is being offered in the area.

Emergency Manager’s Kimberly Robbins of LaMoure County and Tammy Roehrich of Wells County, have announced SkyWarn Training in their respective counties. SkyWarn is a session provided by the National Weather Service that allows residents to learn more about severe weather in the area including thunderstorms, flash floods, tornadoes, lightning, wind and hail. Residents will also learn how to report severe weather to the weather service.

The first of the two different sessions will be held in Kulm on Thursday, April 23rd at the High School at 7 PM. The second session will be held at the Bowdon Community Center on Wednesday, April 29th at 7 PM. Both are free and open to the public, with no need to register.
