ND (NewsDakota.com)  Winning pitcher Braxton Hewitt throws 108 pitches and goes all seven innings as the Cardinals get their fourth victory of the year in Region 3 High School Baseball and beat the Knights of Dakota Prairie 8-4 yesterday.  The Cards are now 4-0 in Region 3 and 6-1 overall, the Knights are now 0-3 in Region 3 and 2-3 overall.

Both teams had nine hits, lead-off man Connor Wendel for Carrington had three hits with a double and two stolen bases.  Senior Alex Jarrett had two hits and three RBI.  Devin Fitcher of DP had three hits including a double and an RBI.  

Carrington will participate in the Carrington/New Rockford Jamboree going on today and tomorrow (April 24 & 25) at Carrington City Park and the New Rockford Ballpark.  A total of 13 teams will play 23 games over the 2-day period.

After this weekend, the next game for Carrington will be next Tuesday at home against fellow Region 3 team Sheyenne/New Rockford.  Pregame will start about 3:15pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, with first pitch set for 3:30pm.
