N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers increased the release from the Jamestown Reservoir yesterday from 75 cfs to 125 cfs.

According to a release, the increase may raise the James River level through Jamestown about six inches higher. The 75 cfs release that was started Monday did not help draw down the reservoir after last weekend’s heavy rain. The Corps hopes to have the flood storage area at the Jamestown Reservoir evacuated by the first week of June.

There was no release made from the Jamestown Dam since last November.
