ND (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liner girl’s tennis team went out in style this morning in Minot.

The Hi-Liners won 4-1 in the consolation championship over the Minot High Magicians, taking 5^th place at state.

The team tournament has concluded, but the doubles bracket will start this afternoon at 2:15.

Clair Olson and Reagan Ingstad come in as the top seed from the East. They’ll go up against the 8^th seed from the West in Lauren Nordberg and Lauren Botsford of Bismarck St. Mary’s.

Same Coit and Maia Wendel are the 7^th seed from the East. They’ll play against Reagan Bradley and Emily Bichler of Bismarck St. Marys at 2:15.

Consolation Championship Results:

Singles:

1. Clarissa Olson (VC) defeated Latasha Klein (Minot) 6-0, 6-2.

2. Reagan Ingstad (VC) defeated Kali Askvig (Minot) 6-0, 6-0.  

3. Sam Coit (VC) defeated Haya Dodin (Minot) 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles:

1. Evie Reyonds/Alyssa Henson (Minot) defeated Maia Wendel/Rachel Schueneman (VC) 6-4, 6-1.  

2.  Abby Ingstad/Breanna McDonald (VC) defeated Tessa Wilson/Raquel Egge (Minot) 1-6, 6-0, 6-2.
