N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 70 year-old man was injured after striking a high line wire roughly 1 mile South of the Casselton Airport on May 25th.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a plane was flying south of the Casselton airport at around 4:19 PM when it struck a high line wire. After the collision, the 1968 Piper Plane crashed just north of the wire. The pilot was injured and taken by ambulance to the Sanford Medical Center. The pilots name will be released at a later date.

The crash is still under investigation by the NDHP and Federal Aviation Administration.
