Evelyn Olafson died June 21, 2015 at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, Minnesota, at the age of 93.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in Litchville ND, with Pastor Marcia Hegna officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens, Valley City, North Dakota. Visitation will be held at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 on Thursday, June 25, and one hour before the service at the church.

Nora Evelyn (Linn) Olafson was born at home in rural LaMoure County near Litchville, ND.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the North LaMoure Church.

She was united in marriage to Leonard G.W. Olafson on April 10, 1941 in Oakes, ND.  She enjoyed playng cards, bingo, and casino trips.  She was an excellent cook and baker.  She loved spending time with her family.  Nora and Leonard farmed near Litchville for 40 years.  They moved into Valley City, ND in 1975.

Leonard died on January 30, 1999.  Shortly thereafter Nora moved to an assisted living facility and later to a long term care facility in Dawson, MN.

Nora is survived by her children: Nancy (Gary) Justesen of Litchville; Virginia (Clayton) Pollert of Onalaska, WI; Connie Stevens of Fargo, ND; Debra (Lee) Ulstad of Madison, MN; and Harlee (Danita) Olafson of Johnston, IA.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one brother Donald (Jane) Linn of Longview, WA.

Preceding her in death were her parents Nels P. and Johanna Linn, her husband Leonard, sisters Nellie Curtis, Myrtle Smedshammer, Laura Harke, and Minnie Linn, and brothers Herbert Linn, Edgar Linn, Martin Linn, and George Linn.

Blessed be her memory.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
