(NewsDakota.com) Despite being down 3-0 after four innings, the Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team came back and earned their fourth Class B Southeast Region play with a 5-4 victory versus Kindred Post 117 on Wednesday at Cummings Field in Oakes.

Post 36 (10-3) scored two in the bottom of the seventh to complete the comeback. The winning run was driven in by Jon Tyre, who drove the ball into shallow center field; scoring Bryce Meehl. Tyre earned the win, coming on in relief of Meehl; with three innings, allowing an unearned run, two hits and registering four strikeouts. 

Ethan Lingen ended up with the loss for Post 117 (7-2), going all seven innings, allowing six hits with six walks, and picking up six strikeouts.
