N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  For the fourth year in a row, the Carrington Babe Ruth baseball team will be heading to the State Tourney July 31st through August 4th.  They will play at 3pm on Friday, July 31st in Hettinger against the District 6 champion.  

Opening day of the District 2 Tourney was to take place last Friday, but was postponed due to rain and moved to Saturday.  Carrington won two games on Saturday, 14-0 over New Rockford and 12-0 over Dakota Prairie.  In the Championship game yesterday, Carrington beat Dakota Prairie for the second time in the tourney, 15-4 to punch their ticket to State.  Lucas Geiszler was the winning pitcher.
