N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown and the Jamestown Community will be celebrating more than 130 years of support during the 2015 Community Block Party on August 27th.

The event serves as a way for both the University and community to welcome new and returning students to Jamestown. According to Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Becky Thatcher-Keller, the block party is a way to bring residents and the business community together with students, faculty, and staff of the University.

Over 104 booths were signed up for last year’s block party with over 240 new students welcomed into the community. Interested businesses and organizations can contact the Chamber of Commerce to sign up at 701-252-4830.
