(NewsDakota.com) There has been a trend since the start of this decade: Back-To-Back North Dakota Class B American Legion State Baseball Championships.

Casselton took the 2010 and 2011 titles, Grafton won in 2012 and 2013, and Carrington Post 25 won in 2014, and won the 2015 title after a 9-4 victory over Park River on Sunday afternoon at Townsend Field in LaMoure on Sunday.

Carrington established a 9-0 lead, which featured a solo home run from Alex Jarrett, and almost won the game in five innings with a no-hitter from Freeman. In the tournament, Freeman did not allow a hit through his first eight innings.

Earlier in the day, Post 147 defeated Oakes Post 36 6-4 to make it to the championship round, despite Michael Kelly registering a three run home run in the bottom of the first inning. Bryce Meehl took the loss, placing his record at the tournament at 0-2.
