June Borg Hager, 93, of Valley City, ND died on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.  Alma was surrounded by her family as she went into the presence of the Lord to her heavenly home.

She was born on May 7, 1922 at rural Valley City to John and Anne Borg.

As a teenager Alma attended special meetings in Sanborn, ND and accepted Jesus as her personal Savior.  She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid and Green Homemakers.  She did cooking demonstrations on KXJB TV, she made wedding cakes and cookies for countless weddings and occasions, she sewed, quilted, and loved gardening and canning.  Her pickles will forever be a favorite in the family.  She was married to her husband Dick for 67 years and helped make the farming operation successful.   She was a wonderful and loving mother to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children:  Holly (Jerry) Thorpe, Sahuarita, AZ, Deb (Bill) Galley, Lees Summit, MO, and Tim (Becky) Hager, Valley City, ND; eight grandchildren:  Jeffrey, Daniel, Laurie, Greg, Jon, Andrew, Ian, and Ryan; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  One sister, Ruth (Marshall) Willson, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, an infant son, her parents, John and Anne Borg, and 11 of her siblings: Clarence, Selmer, Melvin, Marguerite, Alice, Oliver, Clarice, Lester, Sadie, Lynn and Eleanor.

The funeral service for Alma will be 10:30 am Friday, August 28, at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City.  Visitation will be 5:30 pm to 7 pm Thursday at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel with a time of sharing and prayers at 7 pm.  Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church.  Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Green Township.
