Thoughts:

Many good things happened yesterday – perseverance, 100% effort, and adapting on the fly.  We did play a little tentative at times with many defensive shots, but we are learning as our varsity has four players in only their second year on the tennis team.

All players are buying-in on taking over the net.  When we have an opportunity, we move in, split step, and take the volley.  We missed a few volleys today, but if we continue to play this way, those volleys will come sooner rather than later.

We thank Coach Kringlie for his mentorship, leadership, and awesomeness these last two weeks.  I was at Camp Dodge, IA, for my two weeks of annual training for the national guard and Coach Kringlie stepped in and did a fantastic job for the team.  From what I hear from the players and what I saw on the court these last two days, Coach Kringlie’s efforts helped our team take big improvement strides.  Thank you Coach Kringlie!

Next action is tomorrow at home against West Fargo Sheyenne.
