N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A team of Bowman community members were in Carrington to observe and give their thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the Carrington community.

This was done through a program called LinkND, which helps communities learn about their strengths and weaknesses as seen through the eyes of a first time visitor. According to the Foster County Independent, members of LinkND in Bowman surveyed Carrington on June 1st and 2nd and gave their findings to community members on August 26th.

Bowman Executive Director of Development Teran Doerr remarked that the number one comment was that Carrington was a nice community. It had familiarity with landmarks in the city and individuals were also impressed with the city park, Youth Center and the Potholes and Prairies Birding Festival.

Some issues were brought up including signage lacking for certain services and bringing back economic and aesthetic focus to the Main Street area. You can view the full report in the Foster County Independent.
