N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The vote for the Jamestown Public School District to be approved or disapproved of a $19 million bond referendum for numerous projects is nearing for residents of Jamestown.

If the vote is passed, numerous changes would take place in the district. Superintendent Robert Lech pointed out that Washington Elementary would be decommissioned and Louis L’Amour would increase it’s capacity from 125 students to 360 students. Roosevelt, Gussner, and Lincoln would receive $1 million for renovation along with the Jamestown Middle School. Lech pointed out the effect on the taxpayers.

Early voting is set for tomorrow, Tuesday September 15th through September 28th at the Stutsman County courthouse. Official voting will be September 29th. A public forum is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th at the middle school.
