CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Barnes County Emergency Manager and 9-1-1 coordinator Kim Franklin handed in her notice to the Barnes County board of commissioners earlier this month.

Commissioner Bill Carlblom said the search process to find a replacement is already underway. He said Franklin accepted a job offer somewhere else.

Carlblom said the county recently approved of hiring an assistant 9-1-1 coordinator. He said right now the Public Service Answering Point known as PSAP has 6 full-time dispatchers and two in training.
