– Both Bellevue (Neb.) women’s and men’s golf teams held their lead for the second straight round Tuesday in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Conference Fall Golf Tournament, held at the Oxbox Golf Country Club.  The NSAA teams played Oxbow 1, which is a par 72 measuring 6,863 yards.

The teams played 18 holes Monday and Tuesday at Oxbox Country Club.  The 36-hole scores will be combined with the results of a 36-hole Spring Qualifier to determine which team and individual represent the NSAA at the NAIA National Tournament.  The NSAA spring golf qualifier conference tournament will be held on April 25-26, 2016 in Lincoln, Neb. (hosted by Bellevue, Neb.).

Sept. 29, 2015 – Round 2 Recap – Women’s – Results

Bellevue holds a commanding lead in the women’s race with a 50-stroke lead over second-place Viterbo (Wis.).  The Bruins are led by Renee Santoyo with a score of 153 after two rounds combined.  Wendy Monfort finished as a top golfer after firing a 2-over 74 in the second round, accumulating a score of 155 in two rounds.

Jamestown (N.D.) is third with a team score of 689, followed by Waldorf (Iowa) fourth with 701 strokes.  Valley City State (N.D.) is fifth with a team score of 805.

Sept. 29, 2015 – Round 2 Recap – Men’s – Results

The Bruins extended their lead with six-stroke difference with second-place Viterbo (Wis.) 613-619 after the second round Tuesday.  BU fired a team score of 301 in the second round, while the V-Hawks carded a team score of 306.

Three golfers are tied for first with a score of 150.  They are Diego Gudino of Bellevue, Taylor Hanson of Viterbo and Hugo Becerra of Waldorf (Iowa).  Hanson and Becerra finished the day with an even-par 72 Tuesday.

Valley City State (N.D.) remained in third place with a team score of 632.  Waldorf improved their team score after shooting a team score of 314 on Tuesday, moving up to fourth-place in the team standings with a score of 645.  Jamestown (N.D.) is fifth with 653, followed by Dickinson State (N.D.) sixth with 689 strokes and Presentation (S.D.) seventh with 722 strokes.
