S.D. – Dacotah Bank and North Star Athletic Association are proud to announce the seventh edition of the Football Players-of-the-Week honors Monday. Jacob Duilio of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected as its Offensive Player-of-the-Week, while his teammate Ethen Preston was named as Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Joshua Perry-Kruse of Dickinson State (N.D.) was picked as its Special Teams Player-of-the-Week.

Dacotah Bank/NSAA Football Offensive Player of the Week

Jacob Duilio – Valley City State (N.D.) – 5’9” – 220 lbs., Junior – running back – Portland, Ore. –

Duilio rushed 25 times for 144 yards with three touchdowns, including a pair of rushing touchdowns in the final quarter as Valley City State (N.D.) came-from-behind for a 32-24 victory over Dakota State (S.D.). He gained 118 yards on VCSU’s final two drives in the fourth quarter, capping each drive with a touchdown run. With the Vikings leading 25-24, Duilio carried the ball eight plays in a row and ended the 50-yard drive with a 10-yard touchdown run.

Dacotah Bank/NSAA Football Defensive Player of the Week

Ethen Preston – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6’0” – 222 lbs., Senior – linebacker – Tower City, N.D. –

Preston led Valley City State’s (N.D.) defense with 13 tackles (7 solo tackles and 6 assist tackles) and an interception in 32-24 Dacotah Bank/NSAA Football conference victory over Dakota State (S.D.). With the Trojans driving to try and tie the game, Preston sealed the victory with an interception deep in Vikings’ territory with 53 seconds remaining
