CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A number of animals have been coming into the pound in the last few weeks so remember to make sure your pet has proper identification.  A collar, identification tags and a HomeAgain microchip are great tools to help get lost pets back home again.

All dogs and cats in Valley City must have a license.  It’s easy to get your rabies certificate, head to the Police Department during regular business hours, and they’ll get you the license!  These license fees help pay for the City Pound expenses.

The Spay/Neuter week held last month was a great success! SVFA gave out 40 $25 coupons and the Valley City Vet also gave a 15% discount on those procedures.

Here are the pet up for adoption:

Prince – Prince is an adorable 2 year old pitbull who is with us for the 3rd time.  The first time, he was just too strong for his owners.  The second time, his family had allergies they didn’t know about until Prince came along.  But, this time is the charm for Prince!  He loves kids, is super well behaved according to his foster home, and does great with other dogs.  He should have a companion as he has a little bit of separation anxiety (mostly whining) when he’s alone, but otherwise, he’d do great in most any home!  The best part is that there is no kissing of frogs necessary to find this Prince!

Quinn – Quinn is a super cute, super sweet, super snuggly 12 week old gray kitten.  She is willing to keep any open lap warm, but also loves to play.  She came to the pound with 2 other kittens who have already been adopted, and she’s looking for her forever home!

Ben – Ben is a mellow 3 year old long hair cat.  He came to the pound matted, skinny, and he had ear mites.  But, he’s doing so well getting love and attention from his foster family!  He does really well with his feline foster brother, and seems to enjoy any attention he can get.
