N.D. (NewsDakota.com) There is help for people contemplating suicide.

Valley News Live anchor Stephanie Goetz created a foundation in 2013 in her brother’s memory which focuses on suicide prevention.

Goetz’s brother Cameron took his life at the age of 19 in 2002 after a battle with depression following the tragic death of his brother.

The Goetz Mental Wellness Initiative’s action project called Imagine Thriving provides therapist in schools to identify youth struggling with mental illness.

The Steps to Thriving also includes a campaign of understanding the signs of suicide and how eating right and exercise can help prevent suicide.

Stephanie Goetz talked about the foundation’s efforts with Steve Urness on KOVC Radio’s Voice of the Valley.
