N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Historic Courthouse has received a generous donation from the county.

Historic Sites Manager Guinn Hinmann stated that the books were originally located inside the new courthouse, but they were looking at moving them or finding them a new home.

Hinmann said that the books held a surprise for the courthouse.

A couple of hours and 700 books later, the historical documents now have a new home at the historic Stutsman County Courthouse. Guinn stated that the books hold a lot of the laws and journals from the past.

The courthouse is currently under renovations.
