Virginia Redinger was born February 26, 1941 at Tappen, North Dakota, the daughter of William Redinger and Rachel (Wittmier) Redinger. She received her elementary education in the local school at Eldridge, ND and later attended Jamestown High School.

She worked for Dakota Bake ‘N Serve and Western Gear in Jamestown. She also worked at the Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed Bowling and playing bingo.
