N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dr. Bruce Chehroudi, chair of the new Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Jamestown, was recently invited to speak at the 2015 R&D 100 Conference.

The conference is widely known as the “Oscars of Invention” and identifies the top technology products of the year. Dr. Chehroudi spoke on Research and Development alliances at the conference.

“It is increasingly difficult for any single organization to develop internally all the capabilities needed to foster new innovations,” said Dr. Chehroudi, “We observe that in industries with expanding complexities, the innovation trajectories are increasingly found in ‘networks of R&D alliances.’”

Dr. Chehroudi has a PhD in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. He has done post-doctorate work at Princeton University. He is currently leading the development of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Jamestown.
