N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Council on the Arts and the Jamestown Fine Arts Association, Inc. have announced their joining of the Arts & Economic Prosperity 5, a national study to measure the economic impact of nonprofit arts and culture organizations.

The research study is the fifth study over the past 20 years to measure the impact of arts spending on local jobs, income paid to local residents, and revenue generated to local and state governments. PR Coordinator Angela Martini with the Jamestown Arts Center stated that the study will assist all arts organizations in the area.

The Arts Center and NDCA will be collecting surveys from attendees at arts events using a short, anonymous questionnaire that will ask how much money was spent on items such as meals, parking and transportation.

Surveys will be collected all year and the results will be released in June 2017.
