N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public School Board received preliminary numbers for a new bus contract during their meeting that would cost nearly 0,000 more than last year.

The school’s currently contract their buses through Dietrich & Sons Inc. in Valley City, which is nearing the end of its six year contract with the Jamestown Public School System. Superintendent Robert Lech stated that Dietrich was being responsible by bringing this to the board’s attention so early.

Lech pointed out that this will give both parties the chance to work out numbers and research the cost of services for the school.

Lech stated that it is still early, so there has not been a decision on the matter. The board will be discussing the contracts over the next several months.
