N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – District Judge Daniel Narum has been elected to a three-year term as presiding judge of the Southeast Judicial District.

Narum will continue his duties as a trial court judge and will now have additional administrative and management duties. Judge Narum will serve Stutsman, Barnes, Richland, Dickey, LaMoure, Ransom, Sargent, Logan, McIntosh, Eddy, Wells, Foster, Griggs and Kidder counties.

Narum was appointed by then Governor John Hoeven in 2006, elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2010.

Narum served in the U.S. Navy and is a graduate of North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota School of Law.

He lives in LaMoure with his wife, Caroline Homan, and their two children.
