(NewsDakota.com) It was another classic between the Oakes and LaMoure-Litchville/Marion boys basketball teams on Tuesday night in LaMoure.

Neither team had a lead larger than a couple of possessions, and in the end, the hometown Loboes were able to hold off the visiting Tornadoes 55-53.

Senior Drew Thielges scored a game high 29 points in the victory, to give the Loboes a 6-9 overall record and a 3-1 mark in Class B District 5. The Tornadoes had senior Ethan Zetocha contribute 16 points in the defeat, and junior Jordan Cunningham had statistically his best night of the season with 11 points. Oakes now stands at 6-8 and 1-3 in District 5.

Both teams are back at it on Thursday. The Loboes will head to Barnes County North for a District 5 contest, while the Tornadoes will step out of the district and have their final home game of the 2015-16 season, as they face Milnor-North Sargent.
