N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  On Friday night, the Cardinals of Carrington took on fellow District 5 team the Cardinals of Ellendale in boys Class B Basketball.  Carrington held close for three quarters but Ellendale would outscore Carrington 16-10 in the fourth quarter to get the victory 57-44.  Carrington drops to 2-2 and 7-8 overall, Ellendale improves to 5-1 and 14-1 overall.

Ellendale had three players in double figures, Senior Dylan Young and Junior Brennen Vance each had 12, Young’s points were all 3-pointers.  Senior Center Logan Schumacher had 10.  Carrington was led by Sophomore Point Guard Garrett Bickett with 18, including three 3-pointers in the first half, he has 29 treys so far this season.  Junior Center Bryce Edland had 12.  

Next up for Carrington will be at home for Parents night and another District 5 contest against Oakes.  Pregame will start about 6:30pm on AM 1600 KDAK, AM 1220 KDDR and newsdakota.com, tip off about 7pm.
