N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for January 23rd through February 4th in 2016.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the department has been called out 21 times since the beginning of the year. In 2015, the department responded to 296 total calls. Some of the calls responded to include a tree fire due to fireworks, system malfunctions in smoke detection, and other alarm activation’s. You can find the full run report below.
January 23rd, 8:26PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.
January 29th, 7:54PM, fire department responded to 1313 11th Ave SE, to a report of a fire in a tree. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Cause-fireworks. No injuries were reported. Time out 20 minutes.
January 30th, 6:00PM, ready squad responded to 910 2nd Ave SW #13, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked the apartment and were unable to detect any problem. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.
January 31st, 9:54AM, ready squad responded to 501 19th St NE, Ave Marie Village, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for fire/smoke none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
February 1st, 12:56PM, ready squad responded to 1404 1st St North, Vacant Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Time out 20 minutes.
February 3rd, 10:10AM, ready squad responded to 2509 Circle Drive, NDSH-LRC Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
February 4th, 8:54AM, ready squad responded to 910 12th Ave NE, Jamestown North School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-system malfunction. System needs to be checked and repaired. Time out 15 minutes.
