(NewsDakota.com) Senior Haley Anderson made three consecutive three-point baskets, and then converted a three-point play to rally the Lisbon High School girls basketball team past Oakes 54-53 Saturday afternoon.

The Broncos (10-9, 6-5 Class B Region I) were down by four before the fourth quarter began and Anderson caught fire. The Tornadoes (5-13, 0-6 Class B District 5) did have a chance to tie the game with a three of their own in the waining seconds, but made a two instead and saw time run out.

Anderson lead the Broncos with 20 points. Shelby Roney had a 23 points for the Tornadoes.

Oakes’ regular season finale is set for Monday, when the Tornadoes visit Milnor to take on Milnor/North Sargent. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM starts around 7:15, with tip at 7:30.
