N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Junior Bryce Edland led all scorers with 25 points on Tuesday night to help the Cardinals defeat Oakes 70-65 in Class B Boys Basketball.  Carrington improves to 3-2 and 8-8 overall, Oakes drops to 2-4 and 7-9 overall.  

The Cardinals led the entire game until Oakes fought their way back and took a two point lead, 59-57 late in the fourth quarter.  But Sophomore Garrett Bickett  had a big 3-pointer and a couple of free throws and Edland had 10 fourth quarter points to seal it at the end,  Bickett ended with 16.  Senior Captain Connor Wendel had a big third quarter with 10 points and ended with 14.  Senior Brody Bartholomew led Oakes with 22, including three 3-pointers.  The Tornadoes had four players in double figures, including Bartholomew, Matthew Kuipers had 11, Tyler Voightman had 10 and Ethan Zetocha had 10 as well.
