(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown had the home ice for the final time this season in a West Region boys hockey showdown with Mandan Tuesday night, and the Braves picked up a shoot out victory. The game goes into the books as a 3-3 tie.

The Blue Jays took a 3-0 lead into the third period, but Mandan scored three times in the first 2:26 to knot the score. Neither team scored in overtime so it boiled down to a shoot out. T

he Braves won the shoot out as they tallied twice to only one goal for the Jays. Jamestown dropped to 0-3 in shoot outs this season.

The Blue Jays received goals in the game from Devin Hofmann, his fourth, Jaryn Stading, his first, and Austin Rene, his 19th.

Jamestown wraps up the regular season on Thursday night in Bismarck against the Demons. Drop of the puck is set for 7:15pm with the broadcast on ESPN Jamestown. The Jays will face Mandan in the opening round of the West Region Tournament in Minot on Thursday, February 18th.
