N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown native Adam Gehlhar has been offered the open high school principal position by the Jamestown Public School Board.

Gehlhar, who is currently an assistant principal at Cheney Middle School in West Fargo, was one of five finalists. The school board voted unanimously to approve Superintendent Robert Lech’s recommendation to hire Gehlhar.

Gehlhar would start July 1st at a salary of $100,000 with adjustments that would be completed in negotiations. Lech stated that current High School Principal Bill Nold tendered his resignation effective at June 30, 2016.
