N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has reported a domestic dispute that resulted in one man being stabbed Monday night.

According to the report, police were called to 407 1st Avenue North at around 11 PM to the report of a stabbing. The 49 year-old man was tended to by EMS crews and later transported to the JRMC for treatment of an injury to his upper left arm. The injury was non-life threatening and caused by a knife.

Officers found the alleged suspect, a 27 year-old female, was found in an apartment complex roughly half-a-block away. She was taken to the North Dakota State Hospital for evaluation. Police say alcohol was a factor in the dispute.

The case remains under investigation.
