N.D. (NewsDakota.com)——The Carrington boy’s baseball team scored 6 times in the 4th inning and rolled past the Lakota Raiders 9-3. The Cardinals led 2-0 entering the 4th inning and pretty much ended any chances for a Raider victory. Three costly errors allowed four of the Cardinal 6 runs to score.

Lucas Geiszler pitched 7 good innings to collect the win on the mound and also went 3-5 at the plate, scoring twice, stealing 1 base, and driving in 1 run. Geiszler struck out 5 batters, waled 2, and hit a batter. The Cards rapped out 14 hits against Lakota starting pitcher Jon Skjervheim who took the loss. Alex Stuzinsky finished the day with 4 RBI, going 2-3, which included a bases clearing double and an RBI sacrifice flyout. Jayden Rosenau also went 3-4, scored 1 run, and drove in 1 run. Freshman Zach Johnson collected his first ever varsity hit and made it count, a 2 run single in the big 4th inning. The Cardinals improved to 6-1 overall on the season and 4-0 in Region 3.
