CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Barnes County Social Services Board has offered the position of Social Services Director to Wanda Larson of LaMoure. Larson has more than 30 years of experience working with social services.

Barnes County Commissioner Mike Metcalf says a few changes have been made and he believes that the hiring of Larson will move the department in a positive direction.

Wanda Larson takes over on June 1st, in the interim Val Burchill will served as the director.

Former Social Service Director Rick Bolonchuk resigned earlier this year after serving as the director for 7 months in Barnes County.
