CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The state is working with KLJ Engineering to correct 9-1-1 addresses in Barnes County many of those surrounding Lake Ashtabula.

North Dakota’s Next Generation 9-1-1 system is working to remap addresses across the state. North Dakota Association of Counties Manager Jason Horning says several agencies are working to correct the address situation.

Horning says emergency personal need an updated mapping system that has corresponding addresses everyone can rely on in the near future.

Barnes County Commissioners had several questions and concerns about the situation in Barnes County following the presentation to the board during a regular meeting.

He  made a presentation to the Barnes County Commission on how everyone can work together to resolve the issue on May 3rd.
