N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s been nearly one and a half years since mother Codi Clark lost one of her twin sons to a tragic accident. But, Eli sent a very special message to his mother on his birthday.

In November 2015, 1 ½ year-old Eli lost his life after drowning in a bathtub. Since then, Codi and twin brother Trey have celebrated their birthday by releasing balloons in memory of Eli. On Friday, May 13th, something happened that would later be called a miracle.

Following cake and presents, Codi and her son Trey spent their time filling up some balloons, writing a personal message on two of them.

Trey’s balloon was tied around his brother Eli’s vase and Codi’s balloon joined 7 others in being released into the sky. Codi stated that she wrote a very special note to her son.

What happened next was nothing short of a miracle.

The balloon that had been written on by Codi was found in Cottonwood, Minnesota, a nearly six hour drive to the East of Jamestown. Deb Nelson Louwaige reached out to Codi via Facebook to let her know that she received her balloon.

The story has since been a Facebook hit. Louwaige used her Facebook to message Clark and wish Eli a heavenly birthday.

Clark pointed out that being a parent is one of the biggest miracles you can ever have in life and although Eli is no longer with her, he continues to provide her with miracles.
