CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Valley City pastor Lucas Aufenkamp had his book titled “The Wind Principle” published earlier this year.
Following the loss of a newborn son who passed away in 2014 at just a day and a half old. He was inspired to write the book. The Aufenkamp’s also have a daughter who faced a liver transplant when she was one year old.
The New Life Assembly of God pastor talked about the book’s focus and what led him to write the book with KOVC’s Steve Urness on our Voice of the Valley program.
According to Aufenkamp, the message of the book focuses on the exciting possibilities for one trusting in Christ. “The Wind Principle” also reveals the exciting truth that the destination of your life cannot be predicted based on either your point of origin or your present position. In John 3:8, Jesus explained: “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
According to one book review, Aufenkamp draws lessons from biblical characters and personal experience to challenge believers to unhinge their expectations for the future from their experience in the past. He calls them to believe that God can do anything in one who has been born of the Spirit.
The reviewer states, regardless of whether your past is marked by brokenness or humble beginnings, “The Wind Principle” will encourage you to look ahead with anticipation and faith towards the unexpected, good destination God has in mind for you.
Aufenkamp’s book “The Wind Principle” is available at the Eagles Nest Book store in Valley City.
Earlier this month, Aufenkamp traveled to California for the taping of an interview about his book. The interview will air as part of the show Hot off the Press on JuceTV (BEK channel 611) on Friday, May 27 at 7pm and again Wednesday, June 1 at 7:00 pm.
