CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) More than 122 people ages one to 95 and 7 dogs, participated in the 36th annual CROP WALK for HUNGER May 25th in Valley City.

The CROP WALK  is an ecumenical event where many are invited to walk and donate to local and worldwide hunger. 20% of the proceeds raised in Valley City go to the Barnes County Food Pantry.

The funds going overseas will go through Church World Service, an ecumenical development and relief organization that works across the world.

The funds also work in the USA and provided relief services as they did in 1997 for the people in Grand Forks during and after the flood. The story and photos have been submitted by Sharon Buhr.
