N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, and Foster County Sheriff’s Department were all involved in a high speed pursuit Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, the suspect left the Casey’s General Store in North Jamestown at around 3:20 PM without paying for $90 worth of gasoline. Police initiated pursuit of the vehicle, stopping their pursuit after the suspect drove north.

Sheriff Chad Kaiser says his officers stopped on U.S. 281 when the suspect reached speeds of around 90 mph while entering Foster County. Foster County Sheriff Ian Mattice says the pursuit continued on rural roads and through fields before deputies stopped the chase for safety reasons.

Jamestown Police are continuing their investigation. The North Dakota Highway Patrol also assisted in the pursuit.
