N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Nearly all units and over 25 firefighters were called to a house fire Saturday, May 18th in Jamestown.

According to Fire Chief Jim Reuther, when crews were called to the scene at around 9:12 PM, they arrived to 814 17th Street Northeast to the home completely engulfed in flames. The following Monday, Chief Reuther reported that they were just trying to gather information.

Chief Reuther reports that the owner of the home was inside at the time of the fire.

Two women have been displaced by the fire. The department also ran into the issue of onlookers on the scene. Ruether pointed out that it hindered the departments response to the scene.

American Red Cross assisted the two women displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire was determined to have been most probably an oven range in the garage that was accidentally turned on. No one was injured in the fire.
