CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Drier summers over the past three to four years have helped lower the elevation of Devils Lake and have evaporated public concerns on the operation of the Tolna Coulee.

But members of People to Save the Sheyenne say the Tolna Coulee operating plan is based on a false premise.

People to Save the Sheyenne president Archie Moore issued a six point statement to the Devils Lake Outlets Management Advisory Committee on May 3rd 2016 addressing the false premises in the operating plan.

Moore encouraged the committee to conduct an Environmental Impact Statement to determine the downstream effects the operation has on those who live along the Sheyenne River.

Moore adds, no stop logs should be removed from the structure until the (EIS) has been completed as well. The groups concerns are listed in a statement below.
