N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Kites of all different shapes and sizes will be filling the Jamestown sky this weekend.

The 22nd Annual Jamestown Kite Festival was first started by Mike Gee and Chris Dodson later joined on to help out. Both Gee and Dodson have been with the event since its inception and have made the festival a nationwide event. Mike pointed out that it took a while for the event to really become as big as it has.

The event will feature professional kite flyers from around the nation. Chris Dodson says they expect over 25 professional kite fliers to come to Jamestown this weekend.

There will be inflatable games, kite making classes, and Gee mentioned that one of the biggest kites in the world would try to fly this weekend.

The event is free and open to the public and anyone can attend. To learn more, visit the Jamestown Parks and Rec website at jamestownparksandrec.com or call 701-252-3982.
