Hoyt, 90, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Sanford Health Care in Fargo, ND.

Delores was born January 14, 1926 at Kensal, ND, the daughter of William and Lena (Vick) Witt. She attended the local country school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Glenn Hoyt were married February 21, 1949. They made their home on a farm near Courtenay, ND, until moving into town in 1967. They lived there until moving to Jamestown in 1984. Delores worked for the Courtenay Café as a cook from 1962-1984, outlasting 5 bosses. She then cooked at the Pantry Café from 1984-2000 when she retired.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Kensal, the Jamestown Auxiliary and was an avid player of Bingo and going to the Casino.

She is survived by her 9 children, Ruth (Doug) Berntson, Manvel, ND, Cliff (Claudia) Hoyt, Jamestown, ND, Ruby (Jeff) Klundt, Gackle, ND, Terry (Patty) Hoyt, Fargo, ND, Janice Van Winkle, Fergus Falls, MN, Jay Hoyt, Williston, ND, Waldo (Shellee) Hoyt, Jamestown, ND, Sally Morehouse, Jamestown, ND, and Penny (Randy) Gengler, Jamestown, ND; 27 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Harriet Scates, Santa Clara, CA and Alice Bergan, Valley City, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, 1 brother, 1 sister, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 daughter-in-law.

Funeral Service – 2:00 PM Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Bob Boyar, officiating

Burial – Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND at a later date

Visitation – 9:00 AM-7:00 PM Wednesday at Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND

Prayer Service – 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home
