CITY,ND (NEWSDAKOTA.COM)-After 11 seasons as the head coach for The Valley City State University Men’s Basketball Team Jeff Kaminsky will be heading to Nebraska to coach NCAA Division II Wayne State College. In his tenure at VCSU Kaminsky led The Vikings to 2 conference championships along with 2 trips to The NAIA Tournament. Last season VCSU won their 1^st round game at the national tournament while finishing the season 22-11.Kaminsky says he feels he’s leaving the program in great shape

Wayne State has failed to produce 10 wins over the last 3 seasons ending last year 5-24 and 3-19 in The NSIC. The Wildcats compete in the south division of the conference which feature national champion Augustana of Sioux Falls. Kaminsky looks forward to being a part of the rebuilding process

Wayne State announced the finalist for the opening on June 1^st and officially named Jeff Kaminsky the new head coach on the 15^th. VCSU has begun the search for a new head coach.
