N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual “Ride to Silence the Stigma” was held on Sunday, July 17th in Jamestown.

The committee “Unite to Silence the Stigma” holds the event annually to support their efforts to raise awareness for suicide prevention and other mental health issues in the community. The motorcycle ride follows a planned route in the area to bring attention to the importance of suicide prevention. Ride Captain Clayton Hansen has been a member of the ride since it’s inception.

Although final numbers were not available when asked, Committee Chairperson Margo Haut reported that this year’s turnout was outstanding.

On Sunday evening, Haut announced that 155 participants and 127 motorcycles raised roughly $5,237 with more expected to come in.

Below are some photos and video of the participants in this year’s ride.
