(NewsDakota.com) After Thursday’s play at the 2016 North Dakota Class B Southeast Region Baseball Tournament, three teams remain, and one ticket to the State B remains unclaimed.

Post 19 LaMoure scored three runs in the second inning to take the lead and never looked back, including amassing 11 runs across the plate in the top of the seventh inning. Eight of the nine batters LaMoure had in the lineup scored at least a run in the contest.

Marcus Good earned the win, allowing five hits, two earned runs and did not strike out anyone.

Luke Wertz lost his second game in the tournament, going six innings while walking seven and striking out eight. Austin Sumption scored two of the three runs for Post 137

The Railcats stayed alive in the tournament in large part to the pitching of Spencer Gillund, who threw all seven innings and struck out eight. Enderlin also had good performances from the top of their batting order. Dustin Kasowski had three hits and three runs scored, while Nathan Amermann registered three hits and scored twice.

Kindred had two doubles from Zach Cosette and a run scored in the loss.

Saturday’s play starts at 2 p.m. with Enderlin and LaMoure. The winner will earn the second available ticket to the State Class B Legion Tournament in Carrington next week, and will play Kindred in a winner-take-all match for the Southeast Regional Championship.
