N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2016 version of the American Legion Class B Baseball Tourney will kick off Wednesday, July 27th at Carrington City Park and run through Sunday, July 31st. The Region champs and runner-ups from the Central, Northeast, Southeast and West will converge in the Central City for a chance at the championship in a double elimination tourney. Carrington Post 25, the Central Region Champs, are going for their third consecutive State Championship with a 24-5-1 record. Opening day consists of four games starting at 10am, see below for the first day schedule.
10am – SE1 Kindred vs. W2 Kidder County
1230pm – NE1 Thompson vs. C2 Gardner
3pm – W1 Hazen vs. SE2 LaMoure
6pm – C1 Carrington vs. NE2 Park River
All games will be broadcast on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, starting about 15 minutes before with pregame coverage. Also, all LaMoure games will be simulcast on AM 1220 KDDR and all Kidder County games will be simulcast on TED FM 98.3/102.7.
